New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1940. Small children's book illustrated by Fritz Kredel with pictorial boards showing windmills and snowy covered homes on bright blue boards. Eleanor Roosevelt wrote the preface "The times are so serious that even children should be made to understand that there are vital differences in people’'s beliefs which lead to differences in behavior."
5½ x 4½". Rubbing to boards, more so at tips and spine with some fraying. Some pinkish stains to bottom of front board. A child's name on the front free endpaper was written with gusto, causing indentations that show on the reverse, else a very good copy of this charming book.
