Translated by Fallaci (from a translation by James Marcus) from the original Italian Insciallah, which was awarded the Prix Antibes. Oriana Fallaci (1929-2006) was an Italian journalist and author. She was famous worldwide for her coverage of war and revolution and her "long, aggressive and revealing interviews" with many world leaders. Inshallah is a real-life based novel chronicling the experiences of Italian soldiers on a 1983 peace keeping mission in Beirut. The novel draws heavily on Fallaci's own experiences as a war correspondent in the Middle East throughout the 1980s.
